    Start and Boundary Values

The following are available as start and boundary values:

    Boundary Input Value (Component 1)

General input value / Start Value (Component 33)

    Value Indicator (Component 45)

Value Input (Measuring Point) (Component 46)

    Fluid Converter (Component 100)

    Fluid Reconverter (Component 101)

    Library Specification (Component 105)

    Elementary Analyser (Component 108)

    Automatic Connector (Component 132)

For component 1 (boundary value) and 33 (start value), it is possible to place them on (1) or on (33) a stream already filled with data and then execute the function "Transfer line values to selected component" in the context menu (right mouse button).

However, the FNCVSRC switch, which specifies whether the calorific value is to be calculated from the composition or specified manually, cannot be transferred from the stream, as only the calorific value itself is stored in the stream, but not the information about the source of the calorific value.

For this reason, the FNCVSRC switch was left unchanged until Release 15. However, this was a potential source of error, as components 1 and 33 are often inserted by copying one from another location in the model and FNCVSRC then retained the value it had at the other location, which meant that an incorrect calorific value could possibly be calculated without this being noticed. As of Release 16, a message box therefore appears in which the user must specify which setting the FNCVSRC switch should receive.

The FFLSET switch is also not available on the stream. However, the risk potential here is not so high, as an incorrect setting of FFLSET leads to an error message.
