General User Input Values Displays Example
This component allows for a breakdown of an inlet stream into individual elements (C, H, O, N, S, Cl, ash, lime). This makes it possible to switch a combustion e.g. from coal to gas
without having to change the inlet fluid of the combustion equipment unit.
The component always retains the calorific value of the inlet stream, even though it does no longer match the calorific value calculated from the elemental analysis.
For dealing with the differences in enthalpy due to the different material data, the user can specify whether the enthalpy or the temperature is to be retained.
For this component it is possible to specify the coefficients for the out flowing fluid either internally as specification values in the component or externally with a start value (Component 33) on the outlet line. This is controlled via a flag FCOEF. In the case of an external specification it is also possible to specify such coefficients for which internally there is no
option for specification like e.g. the coefficients for the specific heat capacity in the user-defined fluid. As meanwhile magnesium and calcium are available as elements in Ebsilon as well,
in the case of a binary fluid at the inlet a complete elementary analysis can be carried out for most substances. Only for LiBr as well as for the elements Na and K this is not possible;
these are mapped onto “ash“.
