In EBSILON®Professional a cycle is constructed from objects.

    Following object types are available:

A cycle to be calculated comprises of components and pipelines. Other types of objects, such as value crosses, text fields, graphical elements OLE-objects, can be used for displaying the results, such as comments, displays, explanations.

Objects of the type "component" are the main building blocks of a cycle. Components have multiple inlets and outlets in the form of connections. Each connection has a specific "fluid type". Components possess numerous specification values, which enable a customization to individual cases.

Objects of the type "pipes" are used to connect the components. There is a special pipe type for each fluid type. Each component connection can be joined by means of exactly one "pipeline" having the same fluid type. A pipeline connects an outlet of a component with an inlet of another component. All the connections need not be closed. Some connections can also remain open..

Result values are assigned to pipelines as output of a calculation. The result values can be visualized with the help of "value crosses".

Objects of the type "text field" can be used for displaying texts. They can also be used for marking purposes.

All "graphical elements" possess the same properties.

Objects of the type "OLE-Object" are used for linking documents of different types in the cycle. Similarly, EBSILON®Professional documents can also be linked with other documents. They can also be used for displaying the background.
