Resize objects

Basics

You can resize any object of the following type in the same way as described here.

• Components
• Value Crosses
• Text fields
• Graphical elements
• OLE objects
• Alarm fields
• Buttons (command buttons)

You can not resize Pipelines, but you can create section points on pipelinesand move them.

You can not resize several selected objects at the same time.

Resize

To resize an object you must select it first. Just move the mouse pointer over the object and click the left mouse button. Eight little marking squares appear arranged as a square.

• Position the mouse over one of these marking squares. The cursor changes to a double-headed arrow.
• Click the left mouse button and keep it pressed.
• Move the mouse. The mouse and the square move simultaneously while the size of the object changes.
• When you reach the desired size, release the left mouse button.
• You can undo this operationby pressing the Ctrl-Z key.

The direction of the cursor arrow displayed indicates, how the object will be resized / distorted, when you drag the marking square:

• If the direction is horizontal only the width of the object can be changed.
• If the direction is vertical only the height of the object can be changed.
• If the direction is diagonal, width and height of the object can be changed.
