The options affect the behaviour of EBSILON®Professional while editing the cycles.
It has settings:
In the sub-chapter ”Graphics” there are five Check Boxes:
In addition, there are two selection areas:
See insert objects, insert pipelines or edit pipelines.
If the checkbox "Normalize streams on insertion and import" is activated, EBSILON®Professional will normalize the inserted pipelines automatically perpendicularly (so that its sections run horizontally and vertically).
Example:
"Normalize streams on insertion and import" disabled |
"Normalize streams on insertion and import" enabled |
If this option is deactivated, you can normalize the pipe later on by selecting the pipeline and selecting the option "Normalize pipeline" from the context-menu by using the right-mouse button. This also removes superfluous intermediate points.
The check box ”Allow Ebsilon to move stream sections” determines what EBSILON®Professional will do when you move components with pipelines connected.
If activated, EBSILON®Professional will move not only the stream section nearest to the component you move, but also move other stream sections. This enables EBSILON®Professional, to keep the sections orthogonal.
If not activated, only the stream section nearest to the component will be modified (stretched, shortened, rotated).
The following example shows a two section stream. The following happens, when you move the upper right component (a throttle, component number 2, in the DIN-display with the shape modification 2):
If the check box ”Notify, if undo-information is/was discarded” is activated, you will get a message when EBSILON®Professionaldiscards the undo-information.
Normally, for each action that you perform in the graphics, an undo information is stored. You may use the ”Undo” command to restore the previous state of the graphics.
If the storing of the undo information fails, you cannot do an ”Undo” for the corresponding action. If the checkbox is activated, you will be notified about this fact. Else, you must always keep this in mind (unless you really want to perform this ”Undo”).
In the check box "Arrow Keys move" one can define the way in which the arrow keys can be used:
If the check box "Radius" is activated in the area "Snapping", you can approach a suitable connection point of a component by drawing a line, and the free end of the line will snap up to connect with the connection point. This is useful, because this way it is not necessary to position the line exactly on the connection point.
The snapping radius determines the distance from the connection point where the snapping is active.
The metrics for the radius are set as follows:
Button: Text-/Value Field standard font
Checkbox "Fixed Font-Size" for Value Field
In the sub-chapter "Data" there is a selection area
to a macro from one of the sections of the macro database to select and hide others.
For designing automatic naming of objects can one digit number from 0 to 8, a letter will be prefixed.
There are two Check Boxes:
This flag only concerns the component 93 (Kernel Scripting).
Select with hook!
Enabling of extended component/pipe property-pages
There is the possibility to hide rarely used tabs of the component properties pages. This applies to the tabs SRx, Calculation, View, Extended Options,
and Adaptation Polynomial.
This setting can also be made in the properties window itself.
