    Window Handling

Several EBSILONProfessional documents can be edited simultaneously. Here you can choose between two generally different views. To switch between the views, please select View -> Tabbed MDI groups off (variant 1) or on (variant 2).

In variant 1, the opened documents are set side by side as individual tabs, as is usual in the Microsoft Office applications. Individual documents opened in EBSILONProfessional can be “minimized“, “downsized“, or “closed“ with the bottom level.

Please use the entry “Window“ in the menu bar to switch between documents.

To maximize the view of your model please use “Full Screen“.

With the commands “Close all“ and “Save all“, respectively, you close or save all opened EBSILONProfessional documents.

You can have several windows open for one document at the same time. The menu command “New Window” generates another window (i.e. a further view) for the active document.

The commands “Next Window” and “Previous Window” allow you to switch back and forth between the individual model windows. Each window can be closed by means of the usual icon in the top right corner.

The menu commands “Window->Cascade Windows“ or “Window->Tile Horizontally“ can be used to arrange the windows.

Each window can be maximized, minimized or closed with the usual buttons in the top right corner.

Below the bottommost divider, all open windows are listed. Any of the windows can be activated by clicking on it.

When selecting variant 2 (Tabbed MDI Groups on), individual documents in the window can no longer be minimized or downsized. Also, the menu commands “Window->Overlapping“, “Window->Split horizontally“ and “Window->Split vertically“ are deactivated.

When selecting variant 2, individual documents can easily be arranged horizontally or vertically towards each other using the mouse. Move the mouse pointer on the tab of a document, press the left mouse button and keep it pressed. Now pull the mouse pointer into the editing field. As soon as you release the mouse button, a dialog window opens that allows you to choose whether the individual documents are to be arranged horizontally or vertically.
