You can protect your model against unauthorized access by using a model password. In this case, it is not possible to open this model without knowing the password.
To define a model password, select the menu ”ExtrasàProtectionàModel-Security”. The ”Model-Password” definition window appears.
Enter the password in the ”New Password” field. The password you enter will not be visible, but instead indicated by ”*”. You have to type it again in the ”Confirm new password” field to avoid typing errors. Note that passwords are case-sensitive.
If the model was protected by a password before, you can use this dialog to change the password. In this case, you have to specify the old password.
The next time you try to open the model, the ”Model-Password” input window appears.
If you specify the correct password, the model is opened as usual. Else, an error message appears
and the model is not opened.
Previously, it was indicated in the title of a model if the model was write-protected. This is as of Release 10 indicated by changes in the turbine icon (Padlock for write-protection)
