Macros – Overview
The term "Macro" has three different meanings in EBSILON®Professional:
-
"
New macros" here are the macros available since
EBSILON®Professional 5.0 release, which can be used in models as "Black Box". Here, the number and the type of the inputs and outputs, specification and result values as well as EbsScripts, which are called automatically before and after a calculation, can be defined. An independent name is used for this EbsScript, so that no conflicts arise upon a repeated reuse of such a macro.
-
"
Old macros" here are the macros available before
EBSILON®Professional 4.0 release, which are simple sections from models and are stored in a macro database.
-
"Macro components" are specific components, which encompass a larger model unit, such as the component 40 (GT Macro), which maps the compressor, combustion chamber and die actual turbine, or the component 70 (Evaporator/Drum Macro), which maps a drum with recirculation pump and evaporator. However, internally these macro components do not comprise of single components, but instead form units, which cannot be resolved further.
