    In This Topic

You can change the text and the background colours in the help as follows

    1. Click on Start, point to Programs, and click then on Internet Explorer.
    2. In the Tools menu, click on Internet Options.
    3. In the tab General, click on the button Colours.
    4. In the dialog box Colours, select the desired colour and click on OK.
    5. In the tab General, click the button Accessibility.
    6. Under Formatting, check the appropriate box and click on OK.

    Note:

    1. This method changes the colours only in the topics window and not in the navigation window of the help display, which contains the tabs Contents, Index, Search and Favorites.
    2. This method also changes the colours, which are used for displaying the web sites in the Internet Explorer.

    Important:

    1. If you select similar colours for the text and for the background, then the help text can become unreadable or completely invisible.
    2. When using a colour scheme with strong black contrasts, you may sometimes not be in a position to read the text in the help display, because the background would merge too strongly with the font colour. In order to solve this problem, in the tab General click on the button Accessibility, and then check the box Ignore colours specified on Web pages.
