Tools for Error Search
During the development of your model, there are often situations where the calculation (simulation) indicates an error. The Error analysis is used to locate the error. In most cases, this is sufficient to eliminate the error. However, sometimes a detailed examination is necessary. An often-used strategy is to
-
cut out pipelines and transfer single quantities (pressure, enthalpy, mass flow) via value transmitters (component 36), or even
-
divide the whole model into sub models.
This approach is supported by the following two commands:
-
A pipeline can be "cut open", if it is selected and the option "Cut open pipe" is selected from the context menu by right-clicking on the pipeline. The pipe will be cut off in two pieces at the position of the cursor. The pipe values are copied to both pieces.
-
For the start-value setting (component 33) the general input value is available from the context-menu option "Take-over pipe values". The pressure, the enthalpy and the mass flow of the pipe are copied to the specification values of the component.
With these tools, it is quite easy to cut-off parts of the model and to examine them separately.
