EBSILON®Professional is not only suitable as a planning tool, but also as an integral part of a process monitoring system. The requirements for this are as follows:
Data Transfer: Permanent takeover of process data from the customer and output of the results.
Process graphics: Display of the plant state in one or more screens with different degrees of detail; colour display of the value fields depending upon the value (alarms)
Characteristic values: Display and output of characteristic values for individual components, for groups of components (e.g. quality factor of a turbine flood) or of the entire cycle (see chapter 4)
Process identification: Permanent improvement of the reference values for calculating the characteristic values
Trend curves: Display of the trends of the process values (input values and calculated values), even over many years (and model change)
These requirements are fulfilled in the following way:
Data transfer
Selection of the data source: ASCII file, Excel file or User-Input-DLL
Selection of the result output: ASCII file, Excel file or User-Output-DLL
Determining the calculation cycle
For online linking, a special data coupling mode "EposInterface" is available, which also enables a direct data transfer with the control technology or with external databases.

Definition of alarm limits for the individual process values
Creation of detailed schemes
Switching between the individual detailed schemes
Characteristic values
Definition of characteristic values (position and formatting in the scheme, selection of the characteristic value types and the reference values)
Process identification
Activation and deactivation
Access to the available reference value file
Trend curves
Selection of the process value (measurement or characteristic value)
Selection of the time period
