Error Indications according to Eq. (141) or Eq. (A22)

Indications to broad errors are then present, when improvements have to be made from the balancing equation in the measurement values, which lie outside of the related confidence interval of the respective improvement. These measurement values or the related assumptions about their measurement inaccuracy are to be put under doubt in all cases and are hence to be controlled.

The parameter defined in Eq. (141) for identifying the broad errors in case of individual measurement points is displayed in EBSILON®Professional after the calculation of the result value RELDEV:

In case RELDEV amount-wise exceeds a value of 1.96, a broad error is present.

In order to get an overview of the measurement values with broad errors, the list of measurement values can be used. The limit of 1.96 for display in the list can be modified under "Validation" in case of the model settings, in case values also have to be shown, whose violation can still not be classified as "broad".

In the list of the measurement values, this parameter is displayed in the column "Referred Standard Deviation". By double-clicking the column heading, the list can be sorted accordingly.

You can get an overview in graphical form by activating the filter "Measurement values with violations", which is pre-defined by default when EBSILON®Professional is installed.  The activation is done by selecting the filter with the combo-box on the right near the filter button. The filter highlights only the measurement values with broad violations in colour, while the remaining values of the model are displayed in shades of gray.
