    The figures given below, generated with EBSILON®Professional, show the applications of validation and illustrate the effects of the validation parameters.

     

     

    Figure 1 shows as an example of the validation of a line with several measurement points the effect of the weight of a measurement point as well as the change of the validation results, if the specific enthalpy values are validated instead of the pressure and temperature. The mean square errors are indicated as the result.

     

    Figure 2 shows in the upper section the validation result for a line with several pressure, temperature and mass flow measurement points, as well as in the lower section, no effect on the validated value when the standard deviation is halved.

     

    Figure 3 shows the effect of considering the covariance on a pipe with 1 pressure measurement point and 2 flow rate measurements.

     

    Figure 4 shows for a pipe splitting the effects of the validation on the different measurement points.

    Figure 5 shows the effect for the measured values of a turbine, when the component information, in this case of the steam cone law according to Stodola are taken into account in the validation.
